Thanksgiving is right around the corner and we couldn’t be more thrilled to spend time with our loved ones, share our gratitude, and of course, FEAST!
We thought we might share a few styling tips for the holiday, to help you get into the festive mood, and ease a bit of the stress before the big day.
MEETING THE PARENTS…
So, you’re dating someone new, and it’s serious enough that you’re meeting their family for the first time, what do you wear? First, you don’t want to be too overdressed, in case it’s fairly casual, but you also don’t want to look like you just rolled out of bed. Try a Fall colored wrap dress, like this one in burgundy, and add the beloved ISLA bootie for a little height and a lot of effortless class. If you want to be a bit more modest, add some opaque black tights. For more glam, try a faux fur vest. Vests aren’t your thing? Instead, add a leather jacket and some floral lace tights for a bit more edge.
It’s the middle of the holiday season, and your work is taking over your life; so much so, that you won’t be able to visit family or relatives this year. This calls for the ultimate FRIENDS-GIVING outfit! Your friends see you on a daily basis, and have decided to host a super casual potluck with everyone who is staying in the area. We picked out our favorite red plaid button down and paired it with skinny dark wash jeans and the BONNIE boot for a little edge and a LOT of comfort. Add a mid length coat and a beanie for some extra warmth on the way there. Don’t forget the mashed potatoes you signed up for!
It’s a traditional year, filled with relatives, family and friends. You want something a little dressed up (you know what Aunt Miriam would say), without being overly dressy. We chose a black skinny jean, to start, and paired it with a long burgundy cardigan, an oversized cream scarf and the sleek CARRION boot. Under the cardigan, add a white t-shirt or a long-sleeved turtleneck, depending on the weather where you are. Feel free to add some over the knee socks in a fun color to pop out over the boot if you’re looking for a little something extra (and a bit more warmth)!
We hope these looks inspired you this holiday season! Have a healthy and happy Thanksgiving everyone!
